Proud Mom

So in my profile info I mention that we are a football loving family.  My husband and two stepsons coach our 12 year old son Josh's team and my 7 year old Logan plays (his first year) and my 17 year old stepson Austin is also playing his last year of high school football.  Our summer and fall is filled with football to the point that our yard and housework get completely neglected due to being at football 5 days a week!  But this is special time to spend with our kids while they are still young.  The yardwork and housework will wait.  It has almost wrapped up for the year and Logan had his wind-up on Sunday.  12 seven and eight year old boys spent the afternoon together swimming and having fun.  Then we went to have some pizza and then watch the awards.  Logan got the Most Improved Player award!  I am so proud of him.  He's the youngest boy on the team (and the second smallest!) and he really struggled in the beginning of the year but made leaps and bounds in only a matter of months.  The coach had the nicest things to say about him too.  It totally made my day. 

The Beginning......

So here I am......I started this up over a month ago not really knowing what I was doing but wanting to do this nonetheless.  I started with a title and that's where it's been until today!  I finally sat down and forced myself to do this and get it going.  I know it looks really simple and primitive but give me some time to figure this all out and soon I'm sure this will be fun!  Half the battle in pretty much everything we do (especially me it seems) is just getting started.  I don't know about anyone else but taking that first step is really the hardest part.  I read a quote today that said "Get started - and you've already jumped the highest hurdle in most tasks".  So here's to jumping those first hurdles.....I plan on jumping many more so stay tuned!!!!..............
